Golden Dome is painted with actual 24K gold from the Golden Dome at Notre Dame.

Mid century Keenan and Stanford Hall, share an entrance lounge and a chapel. The annual inter-hall football match, "Battle for the Chapel" determines the name of the chapel for that year.

The Holy Cross chapel features a 13-foot crucifix and a wooden carving depicting "Christ as a Young Boy in the Temple" by Croatian artist Ivan Meštrović, at the time professor and artist in residence at Notre Dame. The chapel also features stained glass windows by Robert Leader, one of the last remaining Iwo Jima veterans who witnessed the famous flag-raising. Professor Leader was my favorite painting instructor when I was an art student at Notre Dame.
