Bryce Dickerson is making the graceful layup in my latest residential hall painting: Baumer Hall Breakaway! I’m thankful for my photographer Pat Sullivan who sent me gorgeous rim lighted photo reference. Also thankful to John and Mollie Baumer, who are Manhattan Beach neighbors of mine, for their many gifts to Notre Dame. Bookstore basketball has changed much from the tight,sweaty,location of my memory…but the intensity and spirit of the tournament remains the same.
